My emotions were all over the place reading this

Alessandra must leave everything and everyone she loves behind to save them from Senator William Davis' threats.
Her and her faithful guard Eric move to DC and does everything she can to stay away from Kyle- Senator Davis' son and now her ex boyfriend.
Kyle however doesn't give up on her or their relationship even though he's been forced into an arranged marriage to Victoria White by his father.
Kyle will find a way to defy his father to still see Alessandra.
With a plan will Kyle be able to still see Alessandra or will there be negative consequences?

This book picked right up from book one.
After a whirl wind relationship things come crashing down for Alessandra and Kyle which to me was hard to read because I was rooting for these two all thru book one.
My emotions were all over the place reading this. One moment I wanted to cry the next I was so p****d off I wanted to throw my tablet across the room.
Again like the first book this one had me hooked from page one and couldn't put it down.
With the way it ended I was so glad I already had book three and didn't need to wait to find out what goes on next.

Make sure you are in your comfy chair

Book 2 in a terrific series Look at it as part two of a book, it carries over as though you turned the page from part one. Alessandra flees Oregon for D.C. to avoid the heartbreak and paparazzi that are determined to catch her at the lowest point in her life. She gets on with her life makes new friends and tries to re-establish herself without Kyle in her life as his father is blackmailing her to leave him alone. Luckily I do not need to wait to read book 3. Make sure you are in your comfy chair and have your favorite snack and beverage at hand the book is not long but you will not want to put it down until it is finished.

Book 2 is a must read also.

This is book 2 of a great series. Just like the first book this one will grab your attention and keep it. The author gives you a great story without dragging anything out. Like the character in this series, when she makes up her mind she goes with it. The story is great and has a flow to it. No jumping back and forth just an easy to read book. Everything is told from Alessandra's POV and she is a character worth getting to know. Can't say enough how this is a must read and one book you won't want to put down.

About the Author
Christopher Knab is a music business consultant with over three decades of experience; in music retail (owner, Aquarius Records-San Francisco), radio (station manager, 90.3 FM Seattle), and record label ownership (415/Columbia Records). A member of the faculty of the Art Institute of Seattle for 18 years, he taught music business courses in the Audio Production program. His pioneering and popular website fourfrontmusic.com, has been a respected resource for music business articles and podcasts since 1995. Bartley F. Day is an entertainment attorney with over 20 years of music business experience. He divides his time between Los Angeles, where he is the Vice-President of Legal and Business Affairs for the music publishing company Media Creature Music, and Portland, Oregon where he has an entertainment law practice focused on music law. In addition he is the outside music counsel for Vivendi Universal Games. He also represents film and TV production companies, authors and visual artists.

Information PACKED

I have not completed the book yet but I have read about half. It is an excellent book for someone who aspires to be part of the music industry. It will give you the WHOLE picture, and a lot of legal information that many people probably don't know about. It also helped me realize some of my options as a musician. I highly recommend this book.

This book has a ton of great information!

Chris Knab has made his career in all areas of the music business, from record store owner to radio DJ, starting a record label to managing an independent radio station, and music business educator and consultant.

Using what he calls the Four Front strategy to cover Artist and Product Development, Promotion, Publicity and Performance issues, Chris Knab shows independent musicians how to navigate the paths to sucess in the music business.

Let me break these down for you a little bit. In the Artist Development section, he lays out the knowledge and skills that musicians and bands need to reach their goals of getting their music out to an audience, and guides you through the many potential minefields that can hinder you from achieving success. In the Product Development section, he and entertainment lawyer Bartley Day detail the specifics of getting a record released, including CD production and both retail and internet distribution, as well as the many legal issues to be considered. In the Promotion section, he gives detailed information needed to get radio airplay for your songs. In the Publicity section, he shows the ways to get the word about your music out to the print, broadcast and internet media. Finally in the Performance section, he focuses on ways to find and build an audience of customers for your music.

The book is packed with useful information, but is also easy to read, and is a very good reference for any musician or band seeking a successful music career. The book won't do the work for you, but it will give you a detailed insider's view on what you need to do to make it in the music business.

Chris Knab has spent his life in the music business. He knows this is a business (and a nasty business at that at times) but he still thinks music matters. If you are sorting out the vagaries of living in a DIY world and how to make your beautiful music a business without selling your equally beautiful soul, his book is a great place to get you started.

Conflict Management: A Communications Skills Approach

An excellent book for every manager seeking an approach to managing conflict. The book is written with the understanding that one can't always resolve conflict. However, a five step process is given which allows for it's successful managing. Through Assessment, Acknowledgement, Attitude, Action and Analysis (5A's) the reader will form a firm base to anticipate and management conflict. The chapters on gender differences, cross-cultural awareness and how writing styles cause conflict are very timely.

Your subconscious is like a camera it record EVERYTHING

I gave 4 stars to this product because I purchased also the power of your subconcious mind and the content are quite the same. The point of this book is you can do/have/be whatever you want, you just have to suggest your subconcious.
I add to the method music, i relax with a good piece of music and then I impress my subconcious. With this and other powerful tools I am getting out a dark period of my life and getting better.

Read the prayers out loud to yourself, they work! I also recommend Joseph Murphy's "Magic of Faith" and Neville Goddard's works.

This report includes unrestricted government information, which is for the first time assembled collectively and rephrased for application to civilian facilities. Eight chapters outline the steps commonly followed in this practice. These are the determination of the threat, methods by which structural loadings are derived for the determined threat, the behavior and selection of structural systems, the design of structural components, the design of security doors, the design of utility openings, and the retrofitting of existing structures. This report is the first transfer of this technology to the civil sector, and provides complete methods, guidance, and references for structural engineers challenged with a physical security problem.

One of the best in this genre

This book is a must read for anyone looking to be successful in their chosen profession. Debra (D.A.) has decades of experience working with some of the most well respected leaders in the country and she has poured all of the lessons she has accumulated into one insightful yet easy to read book. I myself have interviewed over 100 authors in the past 3 years as a podcast host and have read a number of business books and this one stood out for the following reasons:
- It's no-nonsense. This isn't about just having people like you, you have to work hard on improving yourself.
- It's actionable. There are recommendations on things you can do right now to make you a better, more effective leader. (example: stop being a bobblehead!)
- It's an enjoyable read. Many business or leadership books tend to get thick into the weeds and lose my interest, but this one kept me engaged the entire way (with a highlighter in hand).

I have had the honor to meet and be taught by Debra Benton and she is an amazing, knowledgeable woman and it shows extremely well in her book, "The CEO Difference". The way it is written does a great job getting exactly what needs to be said across to the readers by bullet points and quick detailed paragraphs. There are multiple quotes on almost every page from CEO's she has worked with or gotten to know. The stories she includes are great to read and help me relate the book and what she is saying in each chapter, to my own life.

I'm not quite working in the "adult" working world yet, but this book has helped me so much in how I present myself and how I can stand out among my peers. But, I know when I get a bit older this will be my career go to book!

It is not a difficult book to read, anyone can read it! And should!!

I would recommend this book to anyone!!

India is the top provider of surrogacy services in the world, with a multi-million dollar surrogacy industry that continues to grow exponentially, as increasing numbers of couples from developed nations look for wombs in which to grow their babies. Some scholars have exulted transnational surrogacy for the possibilities it opens for infertile couples, while others have offered bioethical cautionary tales, rebuked exploitative intended parents, or lamented the exploitation of surrogate mothers—but very little is known about the experience of and transaction between surrogate mothers and intended parents outside the lens of the many agencies that control surrogacy in India. Drawing from rich interviews with surrogate mothers and egg donors in Bangalore, as well as twenty straight and gay couples in the U.S. and Australia, Discounted Life�focuses on the processes of social and market exchange in transnational surrogacy.��Sharmila Rudrappa interrogates the creation and maintenance of reproductive labor markets, the function of agencies and surrogacy brokers, and how women become surrogate mothers. Is surrogacy solely a labor contract for which the surrogate mother receives wages, or do its meanings and import exceed the confines of the market? Rudrappa argues that this reproductive industry is organized to control and disempower women workers and yet her interviews reveal that, by and large, the surrogate mothers in Bangalore found the experience life affirming. Rudrappa explores this tension, and the lived realities of many surrogate mothers whose deepening bodily commodification is paradoxically experienced as a revitalizing life development. �A detailed and moving study,�Discounted Life�delineates how local labor markets intertwine with global reproduction industries, how Bangalore’s surrogate mothers make sense of their participation in reproductive assembly lines, and the remarkable ways in which they negotiate positions of power for themselves in progressively untenable socio-economic conditions.�
