In addition, she often documents stories of successes, challenges, and lessons learned so that readers can benefit from the experiences of others. Her publications include The Power of Observation; Smart Start in Action ; and Honoring Our Babies and Toddlers , a guide for caring professionals working with military families. Judy Jablon , M.S., is an educator and author with more than 30 years of experience in early childhood and primary education. Originally a teacher, Judy is grounded in theory and practice that emphasize child development, observation, critical thinking, and experiential learning. Judy provides facilitation, leadership coaching, and training to a wide range of educational institutions and agencies. Teachers interact with children all day long but at moments the when they concentrate on being present, connecting and extending learning are the important moments when the child learns new ideas and concepts. It takes concentration, planning and attention to one child while keeping an eye on all the other children too. With reflection the teacher gains the satisfaction of extending a learning experience with a powerful interaction.
