Extremely helpful aide

I bought this book to help prepare for quizzes and exams for an intro to microbiology course. With taking a summer course the schedule is condensced, and there is less time to study (compared to a full semester format). With lecture notes and the course textbook being so dense, this study guide was really helpful for drilling in key points.
So far it has helped me score 100 points for short quizzes and 85 - 90 on exams. Use this study guide along with a text and pay attention in class - you will do well.

Fantastic Microbiology book!!!

Let me start by saying that I was dreading taking a microbiology class. However I was surprised at how interesting this class would become. In fact it has become one of my favorite classes so far. This book was great. It has everything you need to succeed. I felt it was written in a way that helped me better understand the subject matter. I used the kindle version and loved being able to quickly search by key words. The graphics were helpful as well. I appreciated the quizzes at the end of each chapter as well as the recap section. I did not use any other book as I felt there was no need. The other books were dry and full of too much extra information. Whether this is your only book or a supplemental one you won't regret it. Im sure this book helped me earn an "A" in Micro. Thank you!!

I used this book as a supplement to my Microbiology 101 course at a university. It was good for clarifying topics and concepts. The quizzes at the end of the chapters were especially helpful.
