RICHARD CROWNSHAW is a Lecturer in the Department of English�and Comparative Literature at Goldsmiths, University of London, UK. His teaching and research interests comprise nineteenth, twentieth and twenty-first century American literature, Holocaust studies, and cultural memory studies.
